All MBCWA programs are delivered using structured teaching methods and use various feedback techniques to build and refine our clients skills and techniques in a safe and supportive environment.

About Private Sessions and Events

Yes, we do private sessions whether it be a private one on one, a group of friends, for a family, birthday or an organised event for local government or business.

We will develop a session to suit your needs and goals, so get in contact!

About Kids Sessions and Programs

Yes, we do run kids sessions and programs.
Typically we run two age groups of 8-11 & 12-14.

At this stage we do not run a school term program, we do usually run holiday sessions which may change in style and delivery.

About the Four Week Programs

When do the four week programs run?

Our programs are four sessions over four weeks on a set day and time, please see the available sessions and lesson plans above for specific dates and times.

How long is each session in the program?

Each session is two hours with time allowed for warm up, review and practice of new skills.

Our programs alternate days and start times throughout the year to maximise availability and access

About the Beginner to Strong Beginner Program

Beginner to Strong Beginner Technical Terrain Program

This program forms part of your riding building blocks and unlocks new skills and techniques to take your technical riding to the next level.

The Technical Terrain Program will teach you the skills and manoeuvres to descend and climb to get you around, up and down the trails with ease and confidence.

At this level this program will get you riding green and blue trails with confidence and with skills to match, and will prepare you for all of our other programs at the Intermediate level.

Pre-Requisites:
• Able to ride 5-10 kilometers in two hours
• Able to pedal continuously for 5 minutes on flat to slightly uphill terrain
• Already riding heritage trails/loops and starting to ride green and blue trails which you may find challenging at times.

About the Intermediate Programs

Intermediate Programs: Jumps, Drops & Technical Terrain

These programs are for riders who are already riding up to black trails and are looking to improve their riding skills and style by learning, blending and applying new skills and know how.

These programs will leverage already acquired skills from previous programs, sessions and/or your previous riding experience.

At this level this program should have you riding with more efficiency, creativity and help you to make better decisions on the trail to make each ride better than the last.

Technical Program: This is for riders looking to descend with a newfound smoothness, or climb with more efficiency, maybe you just want to learn some carpark skills and show off a little on your next ride with a wheelie or endo.

Drops Program: This is for riders looking to learn and refine drop techniques and skills to take riding drops to the next level with comfort and ease.

Jumps Program: This is for riders looking to learn to jump for the first time or refine their jumping technique at different speeds, shapes and styles of jumps and develop style, confidence and control.

General Pre-requisites:
• Able to ride 15-25 kilometers in two hours
• Able to pedal continuously for 5 minutes on slight to medium uphill terrain with some pinches
• Already or starting to ride black trails, and already riding blue and green trails with control and at times with ease.

Program Specific Pre-requisites

Tech Program
• Be an intermediate rider (General Pre-requisites, no need to email)

Jumps and Drops
• Have completed a session or program with us previously: or,
• Be an intermediate rider (You will need to email us)
• Have done a course, session or program with another coaching group (You will need to email us).

Rider Level Descriptions

My fitness is better than my skills, what should I do?
Courses are set out/conducted based on skills ability, and as such you should first consider your skill level and then your fitness when selecting your program.

Beginner to strong beginner
At this level you are riding trails such as heritage trails/loops, green trails and starting to ride some blue trails. You may find riding rocks and roots and maintaining control challenging at times.
Fitness wise you can ride atleast 5-10 kilometres in two hours and pedal continuously for 5+ minutes without a rest on flat to slightly uphill terrain.

Intermediate
At this level you are riding blue to black trails, able to ride at speed on green trails, comfortable riding blue trails and are able to ride some black trails. You may find rocks, roots and features on these trails challenging at times but you are able to maintain control.
Fitness wise you can ride atleast 15-25km in two hours and pedal continuously for 5+ minutes on a slight to medium uphill terrain with some steeper pinches.

Expert and Beyond
Able to ride almost all trails, able to be creative on green and blue trails, and comfortable at speed on black trails.
May be challenged by rocks, roots and features while being creative at speed or by black/double black terrain at times.
Fitness wise you can ride atleast 25+km in two hours and pedal continuously for 5+ minutes on medium and steep uphill with additional pinchy terrain.
